Neko

This is delayed because of my new webring I've created, the Wubring, but now I'm finally getting around to writing it.

Thoughts

Prizes

The prizes were way too hard to get, and weren't worth all the effort, especially for the Elite Tokens. For example, in Bee Swarm Simulator, one of the quests for the Elite Token was killing 3 Vicious Bees. So I checked the Bee Swarm Simulator Wiki, and they only commonly spawned at night, and were specific to specific fields! And you had to kill 3 in a public server (because private servers cost Robux) where everyone else also wants the Elite Token. In the end, my friend who plays Bee Swarm Simulator helped me out with the quest and I did manage to get both the Standard and Elite token, but it really demotivated me to play the rest of the event.

Negative Connotation

This event was worse than even The Haunt. Atleast in The Haunt, you knew you were gonna get prizes because of how easy they were, but in the Winter Spotlight, who knows if you'll even manage one unless you look up a tutorial! It was so bad infact, that I didn't even finish it! I finished all of the other 2024 events, but not this one because of how horrid it was!

Release Date

The release date was fine, so I'll repurpose this section for the time we got. Either Roblox thought the developers were going to make the Elite Tokens easier, or they just wanted to torture us by dangling free prizes infront of our faces. The difficulty definitely needs to be lowered since it's basically expected that you've played all of the games in the event before to even have a chance at getting the Elite Token, which is just unreasonable.

The Lobby

The Lobby was cool. Probably because it didn't have annoying quests that require 2 days to complete. (I actually spent 2 days completing Bee Swarm Simulator's Elite Token quests.) The slide down the hill was kinda cool, you could actually almost get back up the hill but it forced you to turn around right near the top.

Final Thoughts

There were way too many games for the level of difficulty, and it basically expected you to have played all of them before (when we didn't even get much time for that from the leaks of the games included (which Roblox didn't even officially provide to us)) for you to even have a chance at getting the prizes. The difficulty isn't just a problem because it's too high, it's demotivating. I quit the event because the first game I played took 2 days to complete. All in all, bad event.
